Social Networking Platform

While working with The Unit I developed the core social components of their platform, this involved designing a scalable architecture for tracking friend relationships and generating news feeds for thousands of interconnected users.
The system I developed is simple and scalable meaning the websites are responsive for users no matter how many friends or news items they have, they don't require any specialised dependencies and can run on a single webserver or a whole cluster.

This system has been used successfully on many artists websites including high trafficed artists such as The Wanted, McFly and the Cimorellies.
